LBC’s Andrew Castle was absolutely not taking any nonsense from immigration minister Robert Jenrick today.
It comes as the first asylum seekers have arrived on the Bibby Stockholm barge, to the dismay of many people.
The Fire Brigades Union has warned the government about safety concerns on the vessel.
They sent a letter and wrote: “We have written to Home Secretary Suella Braverman to ask for a meeting about our safety concerns on the Bibby Stockholm.
“As the union representing the overwhelming majority of firefighters, we are driven by the need to prevent loss of life and protect public safety.”
Anyway, returning to Robert Jenrick, who claimed a ‘top lawyer’ was working with Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer to stop migrants being deported.
The problem was he couldn’t name him, almost as if he made it up?
It is a hapless performance…
Carol Voderman wrote: “@lbc trying to get Robert Jenrick to name the lawyer in Jenrick’s article today. “Who’s the lawyer?” “The name is in the newspaper ” “I’ve got the paper here, it’s not there. Who is it?” “Well it’s online” It isn’t online Jeez…gaslighting Tories.”
