Supermarkets are rationing fresh food, expect a toilet roll type run on cucumbers at your local store any time soon!

Tesco has joined Aldi, Asda and Morrisons in rationing fresh produce, it confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.

Britain’s biggest supermarket group has introduced a buying limit of three items per customer on tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.

Brexit

In a video shared this morning, Save British Farming chair Liz Webster said: “The reason that we have food shortages in Britain, and that we don’t have food shortages in Spain – or anywhere else in the European Union – is because of Brexit, and also because of this disastrous Conservative government that has no interest in food production, farming or even food supply.”

The reason we have #foodshortages in Britain is because of this @Conservatives govt and their #Brexit and it’s not because of Spanish weather!

Our chair @LizWebsterLD explains what’s happening and how there is a a quick fix which will solve most of the issues. pic.twitter.com/wY9phQNn14

I’ve seen lots of pictures of full supermarket shelves here in France Here is my little bi-weekly market. No shortages, and mostly French or Spanish stuff. If they tell you, it’s a EU wide problem, they’re lying #BrexitBritain #BrexitBrokeBritain #BrexitFoodShortages pic.twitter.com/B1azbLx64E

For balance one must look at Brexit objectively. Ok we have food shortages, disastrous business & export problems, a drop in standards for working people and are losing vast sums every week that would help the country. But on the plus side, no Ive got nothing #BrexitFoodShortages pic.twitter.com/XVsXTDtPUA

Idiots keep telling me that UK food shortages are nothing to do with Brexit, funny how our fruit and vegetable shortages are being reported in Germany as being due to Brexit because they don't have any shortages. #BrexitFoodShortages #BrexitHasFailed https://t.co/huuqWQjESf

Want to know the latest excuse Brexiteers are giving for fruit and veg shortage…

Supermarkets are deliberately not getting the stock they need in order to drive up prices for consumers…
