Harry & Meghan’s blistering response to Clarkson’s apology is a must read

Jeremy Clarkson made a grovelling apology as has reportedly ‘lost’ his Amazon Prime Video deal after making disparaging comments about Meghan Markle.

Mr Clarkson, in his apology, said: “I really am sorry. All the way from the balls of my feet to the follicles on my head. This is me putting my hands up. It’s a mea culpa with bells on.”

Clarkson, 62, was working with Prime on two shows, The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm but Variety reported that the streaming service is “likely to be parting ways.”

It began after Clarkson wrote a scathing opinion piece about of Meghan in The Sun.

In one part of the article he wrote that he hates Meghan “on a cellular level” and dreams of the day she is paraded, naked, through Britain while a crowd throws “excrement” at her.

Apology response

“FAFO,” Omid Scobie, the journalist, and friend to Meghan and Prince Harry, wrote on Twitter in response to the news.

The popular saying means “f*** around and find out.”

He then followed up with what the spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has responded to Jeremy Clarkson’s Instagram apology posted earlier today (and addressed his claim that he emailed the couple in December):

Then Scobie wrote about the tabloids reaction when he share an opinion.

Royal family silence?

Scobie also wrote a column on why the Royal Family’s “silence” over Prince Harry’s #SPARE memoir has been far from dignified.

In the piece Scobie writes: Despite the tired “never complain, never explain” facade, an assortment of Royal Family sources and friends have all been busy speaking to media outlets since the contents of the book first leaked to British newspapers ahead of its 10 January debut.”

To conclude Omid writes: “It reminds me of how the Royal Family ignored Princess Diana’s cries for help after the breakdown of her marriage. That stiff upper lip in public may have briefly lived up to their brand of keeping calm and carrying on, but the long term outcome of their cruel silence still haunts them to this day.”
