The word Nazi seems to be on everyone’s lips at the moment.
The MSM is blaming Gary Lineker after this tweet, where he didn’t actually write the word Nazi.
The Daily Mail is fuming about it
Here is one of their recent front pages.
So it seems strange that Mail columnist would tweet this…
But it seems Petronella Wyatt did, when she wrote: “And the Nazis weren’t fascists. They were National Socialists.”
The tweet has since been deleted.
She also tweeted: “Lately, it seems to be acceptable to hurl the word “Nazi” at anyone you disagree with. This is a terrible distortion of history and whitewashes the Nazis into a group of merely disagreeable people.”
There was a lot of anger, and bemusement, at her tweet…
She also said she would only debate this topic with someone who was a ‘reputable historian,’
She suggested ‘you start with The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer. Once you’ve read it, I might consider debating with you.’
Then she was schooled AGAIN!
James Urbaniak shared an excerpt of the book which again ruins Wayatt’s argument.
He then wrote: “A person who says Nazi Germany wasn’t fascist isn’t interested in debate.”
