Tim Curry must be one of the most loved Hollywood stars. The Rocky Horror Picture show, Home Alone 2, It (not for me!), Clue (Such an under rated film).
Anyway, enough of my thoughts on the man, but whatever film he appears in, even as a cameo, he always adds to the film.
Also he is known as a musician, Curry has had some success as a solo musical artist as he received classical vocal training as a boy. He toured North America and Europe with his band between 1978-1980.
A lot of other people seem to love him..
In 2012 Curry suffered a stroke and it has left him with slurred speech and changed his looks.
However, he has not allowed this to hold him back. He has done as much as possible within the restraints of his physical strength.
He had to undergo rigorous physical and speech therapy in the ensuing years. Yet, he has managed to maintain a sense of humour through it all: “It’s not tough to maintain. It is just part of my DNA.”
He has also remained optimistic and chooses to see only the good side of the situation. “I do try to look on the bright side of life because I think it’s dull and annoying to look on the dark side of life, and you’re no fun to be with. And I think that’s a personal responsibility of everyone,” Curry said.
Born in Grappenhall, Warrington, United Kingdom, in 1946, he attended the University of Birmingham, where he studied English and Drama in 1968.
From the mid-1970s Curry was close friends with Freddie Mercury after the Queen singer had seen Curry in both the London stage production of The Rocky Horror Show and its 1975 film version.
There were a lot of well wishers for his 77th bday as he still lives his life to the full, even though he is confined to a wheel chair.
