The Blade movie is back on schedule, which is nice to hear, according to individuals close to the project. The project was previously, in the words of our source, “a hot mess.”
We now know that Marvel‘s next Blade film will probably be moved into the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This comes after the film has had numerous behind-the-scenes issues.
Due to “creative issues” with Marvel Studios’ upper management, Bassam Tariq departed the production and the film lost its intended director. Yann Demange was then chosen by Marvel.
It appears that hiring Demange to direct the picture was a very wise choice on Marvel’s part.
Sources tell us that Mahershala Ali, the film’s lead, is now lot more upbeat and that he and director Demanger are very much “on the same page” about the direction this project should take and the general tone of the film.
The Fantastic Four movie is slated for release on February 14th, 2025, so it seems as though the MCU’s Blade movie will be released after that date.
